Temporary Suspension Spring Clamp?

I know, spring clamps suck. Or so I have heard by 90% of the world. But I am trying to lower a 2010 Toyota Corolla for just one night for a school thing and don't really want to have to pay a ton to do so. Would the spring clamps do the job for a short period of time, a couple days at the very max?
My initial thoughts were that anything very long would wear down fast, but it ought to be ok just for a temporary fix, right? If not is there any other way to lower the car's suspension temporarily that won't break the bank?
Ps, first post on the forum though I have been low key lurking for a while, so sorry if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks!

Spring clamps aren't really going to lower the car at all.
