I have a 2001 Blazer that has recently had a new gear box installed for swaying that seems to work fine. Two things happened, the tension on the alignment that brings the tires back straight after a curve, is gone. If I turn into a curve I have to bring it out and straighten it. It is strange and my mechanic has checked the torque on the ball joints. Other than that he has no idea. A week later as I pulled into my driveway and started to straighten up the steering wheel would catch if I tried to go left. It was smooth if I turned right or went straight. I did force it past the catch and it was smooth. This happened twice more but stopped on the way to the garage... :banghead: The garage can find nothing wrong with it... I am afraid to drive it out on the highway please if you have any ideas help!!

Poor returnability can be caused by the gear box adjusted too tight, a binding component in the steering linkage, or improper caster settings.

Thank you for responding maxwedge It was probably happening before the gearbox was changed out. Fits with the trouble I was having. I will pass on the info. Caster is what the ball joints? Thanks again
