Should We Buy???

my father wants a supra..he has had 3-5 of them in his lifetime and wants one now. we looked through the paper and found a white one..

89 no turbo that we know of..70,000 miles..which is damn good for a 14 year old car. but its got a gayass ricer wing on the back "aluminum wing" it says in the add. a custom exhaust and a black bra on the front end.

other than the wing it looks great. no one was home when we ventured out to see it ...but i looked it up on KBB.com and it says the at most it would be worth ~4500$

would it be worth it to pay ~5000 with the rims and exhaust on it??

also..if we were to take the wing off..how bad/hard would the damage be (to fix)

you could....buy a white 95 supra instead...

its a non turbo automatic...but you can take the turbo older ones easily

haha..nice try..he does want a newer one but all the ones he had were the 80's style. he'd love a newer style one..but 16 large is a lil over his ....7 grand limit haha

in that case...the one youre looking at sounds like an okay deal if it was turbo but a non turbo isnt worth much...even if it does only have 70,000 miles...
what kind of rims are they?
and the value of the exhaust is negligible
it all comes down to a judgement call...but remember that it is coming up on 15 years...
im pretty sure the seller guy is just some ricer trying to get more than his car is worth...make an offer lower and see how much leeway he will give

plus...the ricer wing was most likely drilled in...so that means holes...white electric tape is good to cover it up and not be so obvious...but otherwise its bondo and paint...which is expensive...
what you could do though its get one of the turbo wings and put it on...should cover up the holes because the wing is low profile
good luck with the search...show him that pic anyway and see if he can milk the budget a little bit...it is beautiful dont you think?

dude...my mom wont even spend the extra 20 grand to get a new 4runner..shes not gonna spend 16 for a supra...sorry
