Hello all, Question about my Grand Am SE 2.4L 160,000 miles.
The Car runs fine to start the day. Drive it for 10 to 15 miles, stop and let it sit for 30 to 45 min, try to restart and sometime it will start but runs very rough and stalls.
Sometimes it wont even start. When it doesn't start the motor will bump like it wants to fire but no go!
I do not believe it is the Theft system. I only get the Theft Light when I insert the key to start it. Once it is running the light goes off. If it doesn't start the light will stay on.
Thinking Low Fuel Pressure or BCM or Ignition Coil?
How do I check fuel pressure there is on Schrader valve to tap into the fuel line. looks like i would have to release the spring clip connection by the motor to check pressure.
How Do i diagnose the BCM? My BCM looks different then ones I see on the internet. i do not have a Black plastic box type. Mine sit vertical behind the glove box and looks like a cast aluminum box.
Driving me crazy! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Welcome to AF, and sorry for the delayed reply!
Are you still having troubles??
When was the last tune up? plug and boots/wires?
When was the last time your fuel filter was changed?
