Here is my recent 'serious' completed project. It's Italeri's rebox of an old Protar kit. Awesome subject, hundreds of parts and great level of detail but.... Each part required a loooot of cleaning but I guess it added to the experience of building a classic kit :) It was my first time doing weathering and I never thought I would attempt to make a model less shiny haha
It is almost oob except some rivets, some replaced hoses and wires and I scratch built all wooded parts. It is missing a few minor parts such as leather bonnet straps but it is pretty much finished. Despite all the difficulties it presents I recommend this model to everyone (especially the airplane people as it features a huge airplane engine haha) because despite its issues it is really fun to build and it looks great on the shelf!

You've done an amazing job, and great photography too.
What did you use for the brass and copper on the engine because it looks great.
I know what you mean about cleaning the parts. I had a Protar 126C2 and ended up selling it. Life is too short to be spent cleaning up that many mold lines!

Wow, what a beast! Very cool subject and great photos too. You did an outstanding job on what had to be a very tedious kit to build (having some experience with Protar kits).

Good grief what a masterpiece. I could only dream of building such a work of art.
