I have a 99 Lesabre that ran fine until one day, you had to keep turning the key a bunch of times to even get it to crank, but eventually would start and run... Bought it home, turned it off, and hasn't started since....
Good battery, BRAND NEW starter, cleaned ground wire at block, cleaned battery cables at battery, (although someone said "Clean them Again"!! and I am going to do that) checked firewall fuses and ones under dash on drivers side... when I turn key now, only the radio station channel lights up and a light for the climate control on dash... NO idiot lights, and not a sound or click from anywhere...
Headlights work, interior lights come on, windows will go up and down, horn blows, BUT NO DASH LIGHTS!!! HELP!!! what could be the issue????? I've exhausted my knowledge, and am about to give up....
It's not a great enough car to take somewhere and spend $100's on, so if anyone has a suggestion or 2 for me, I SURELY WILL APPRECIATE IT... Thanks everybody!!

Try giving the starter a whack while trying to crank it. If it cranks at that time then you have a bad starter/starter solenoid.

Put 12v directly to the starter. If it cranks. This eliminates the neutral safety switch and ignition switch.
