I am about to buy another yes another geo storm. My first one blew up on my after 5 days so i was kinda iffy to buy another one but for $450 i cant pass it up.
Anyways I told my friend that i was buying the car. (on the car it says TYPE R) He told me that TYPE R is just the type of engian and told me it wasnt a type r (kind of like putting a NOS sticker on your car to say that it has NOS when it actually doesn't) And i was just wondering what a TYPE R is. I know that geo made 3 types of vheicals (metro tracker and strorm) and at first thought i thought it was a new kind of geo (knowing that geo died in like 93')
Well enough of my babling what is a type R? :dogpile:

No such thing as a Type R geo. Your friend obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. They made 1.6 Sohc, 1.6 Dohc, and 1.8 Dohc engines. That's it unless you swap a motor in from an isuzu impulse or use the turbo off of one. Type R is more of a Honda thing.

actually Geo Still exists today... They still make Metros, Prizms, and Trackers.
And I have never heard of type R either. THE STORM died in 93'.

The only geo storms I know to date are the storm, gsi, wagon. If there are anymore then they are very rare. There is no type r.

lame hondas dead on with that. just another example of how our wonderful american automakers have let us down for the past 30 some years eventualy losing the market to imports. they type r is actualy an Acura Integra. As far as hondas go, it was a decent performance car. Not many made and not for very long. and they only came in the newest generation of integra, or so i think. i dotn know of specifics, but i know it only came in a special pearl white color. Any auto zone carries the type r sticker. same with type s, r racing and any dum ricer crap u can think of. So at that rate u can make anything a type r or vjs or wtf.
on a side note, i think its seriously time to consider a different car.

There was no Typer-R period. That's all a honda thing. Now, that's said and done.
