97 gmc 1500

I have a 97 gmc 1500 4.3 5spd. Occasionally it will be slow starting and when I push the clutch in to slow down it it sometimes dies. I've cleaned the throttle body and had plugs wires and a starter put on. Wondering if someone could give some info on what it might be
