Check out the one at DSMTuners.com as well. Buschur is a DSM god, so there is very little I'd question in his upgrade path.

Buschur is certainly not god to me anymore.:loser:
John Sheppard is god:icesangel
Anyone that can run 9's with a full weight 100% DSM car has my complete respect. All Buschur has proven is that he can make a Frankenstein car that looks somewhat like a DSM , but isn't really. It may be fast , but who cares...:thefinger And I also question Buschur's DSM knowledge as far as that upgrade list goes....   After I got into DSM's farther , I realized that most DSM'ers know that Buschur is an ass. If you want true DSM knowledge got to any DSM.ORG site.
If you'll notice , most of them make no mention of Buschur:cool:

I do like their exhaust system , but it isn't anything that couldn't be built by the local exhaust shop. A few people seem to have problems with delayed shipping from them , also.
Not to mention , I notice Buschur didn't show his Frankenstein at the last IDRC competition (Sunday) But I did notice someone driving his old orange race car. I like that car. Last decent car he ran .

Was the orange one the 1g he was trying to sell? I got his exhaust at the dsm shootout last year so I didn't have to worry about shipping. But it just seemed like he didn't give a damn about selling his exhaust to me.

Yeah , the orange car was his old car. or one remarkably similar. I've seen that a lot with regards to Buschur , he just doesn't seem to be interested in dealing with DSM'ers anymore. Or WRX people either , I had a helluva time getting any info about his Mitsubishi turbo retrofit kits for the WRX. He doesn't seem to give a damm about DSM'ers or supplying accurate information , or racing real DSM cars , anymore. It was much better a few years ago.

I wasn't really hating on buschur. I guess im just mad he's getting out of the dsm scene when i'm getting into it. I respect him a bunch for all he's done for the dsm community though. BTW, Lando are you planning on going to the se.dsm meet in Atlanta in August? I'd like to see your sexy car.

Buschur may have been a god before , but he ruined his own image using that fake bodied 2G DSM with the Ford rear axle. The Orange car was at least a real DSM , with real DSM parts in it. I could really care less if he can run 7's with that piece of crap car he has now , he may as well go join the F-body/Mustang people , because with the direction he's gone with this new car , he's basically saying THEY are right , and that imports and DSM's suck. Those with the balls to run a true car with actual parts , and keep it clean , like Shepard , those are the one's that get my respect.
Running 7's in a fiberglass car with a 9" rear............any asshole with enough money can do that , that does NOT take any sort of talent.

So, because he switched classes and sold the orange Talon, he negated any positive effect on DSMs? Great logic.:bloated:

I'm honestly not aware of any great contributions he's made to the DSM community. Care to shed some light ? Has he invented any great products for use by DSMer's that no one else has ? Has he contributed to the almighty DSM FAQ's ? Has he shown us any new and better ways of tuning DSM's that nobody else ever thought of ?

Try getting one from Buschur , preferably THIS year... Since you didn't answer the question(s) , I can only assume you don't have a clue. Are you a real DSM'er ? Or just a guy that has a bunch of go-fast parts on his car and has no clue of the history behind them , and prolly can't even run 12's with that big ass turbo. I got news for ya , there are people with 14B's in the 11's. Which basically says you just followed the import crowd and got all the big shiny parts and has no clue how to use them.

You don't have to respect me. I could care less about the respect of a keyboard commando with too much time on the net. Again, have fun with your all motor car (slow), your DSM trivia book (the 1000 ?s page,vfaq.com), and enjoy starting arguments when people ask for an opinion on an upgrade path. Did you help; no. Did you provide an alternative; no. You choose to flame like every other pale, gender confused, internet junkie with nothing better to do. If you read any of the guys posts who started the thread, you will see he has no clue where to start. I'm sure you were a big help. Done with you on this thread. WRX, you have an aweful lot to learn  In this thread and just about everyother one you have posted in. No offense.
There is ONE guy in the 11s, and he just did it a month ago. BRs car is not a DSM, he doesnt claim it is. Same goes for Eric Plebanis starquest, porche, mightmax etc, BRs old yellow car (first DSM in just about every second range there is down to 9s. Now owned by a guy up here running 9s in it) They all compete in the "DSMpowered" class at BRs own event, the SO. Dave started the Shoot out, going on its 11th year? I hope to trophy again this year  He made the first real exhaust for our cars, and was always the fastest to every time bracket there is. He was also coming out with EVO parts as soon as the car came out. You could go on for quite a while. I think he has contributed VASTLY to the DSM world. Go back ten years and see what it would have been like without BR then  You were probably still in diapers.
The point about the "DSMpowered" apsect of BRs car.... He runs those 7s in a full tube frame, ford 9"/powerglide/strange suspension, etc car for one reason. Cost effectiveness. Look at extremem. Sure they can run 8s in a "true" DSM. But Dave isnt stupid enough to buy a new tcase and rebuild the tranny every weekend. That makes him an ass? Doubt it. He runs those times with a true DSM motor, stock DSM ECU with TMO chip, and a VPC/GCC. Only now has he finally gone standalone. I give him a lot of credit for taking the 2.0 liter so far with the stock ECU  His old yellow car is running 9s at 24 psi on its first pass after Dave tuned it a few weeks ago.
Dave isnt perfect, his peopel skills could use some work, lol. While Shep is a great guy all around, and his car is sick. I Cant wait to see both of them run at the SO in 2 weeks.

I'm not arguing the fact that Buschur is fast. I'm saying his being that fast is no big deal. Strapping a 700Hp motor to a powerglide and a 9" is something the big block guys have been doing for years. Just because the motor in this case is a 4-banger makes no difference. Buschur lost a lot of my and other DSM'ers respect using that Frankenstein car of his. The only thing DSM in that car is the engine. Sorry , in my book that makes him a loser.:loser: He may be fast , but so what.

07-10-2003, 05:26 PM
I see your point, as I did before. My point was he makes that 700 hp on stock ECU and piggybacks. I though that mike undo the looser part, but thats just me  BR helps us NEDSMers out a lot, so regardless of what he runs or how he does it, we are all glad for the help we have gotten over the years. Thats the way I see it I guess. He can be an ass, so I'm really not trying to back him up, just offering a counter point. This is one of those things where everyone has thier own opinion, and thats cool.
