its all honda products in general, but i think that acura owners (not all) but a lot more are a bit older, so they're not as rash or inexpierenced w/ cars as some of the civic drivers.

i kno i've learned a lot since my 1st car (88 lude), an i've changed my views a lot over only a couple of years. im not knocking civic drivers, but i think that the acura group is jus a bit older an so they've gotten over the "rice" phase a little more (in general once again, not all)

Ricer can mean Acura, it is just that the majority of ricers seem to be Civics.....

i totally agree with you krnxracer00.......each car has its strenghts......

for exaple when i go autocrosing.....i bet many people with the mustangs might envy my weight advatage during turns.....while i envy the instant torque they have when they exit them.....it feels like it takes forever for us to get properly into the powerband especially when we exit those harpin turns....


so its the disadvatage of their high polar momentum due to their big V8 vs the crappy torque (that usually comes in the upper range) us small displacement guys have.......

I just posted over on the "Ford Boys" forum. I just hope that some of you will realize that we need not instigate wars with every possible domestic racer there is.

Here's the deal:

At least they're talking about this subject in THEIR forum, as opposed to coming over to this forum and talking about your cars HERE...as I've seen a couple of you have done over there. Only two "importers" seemed reasonable.

The only way to GET respect is to GIVE respect. The last thing you'll get is that...when you go over to THEIR forum and flame THEIR cars. It also works vice-versa...as in them coming in to THIS forum and flaming the cars that are the focus in HERE.

Either way, they can flame all they want. I agree with their ricer comments, as far as looks go. As for speed, I'll just work on my car and enjoy THEIR looks when something they thought they'd absolutely destroy walks them.

If it weren't for people like that, what's the point of building a sleeper?

it all depends on your area and what u see where you live....and as i said b4...what you see as rice is nice to the driver...why PERSONAL PREFERENCE....there is no such thing as a ricer....itz just someone that has different taste than you:grinyes:

but as much as people argue over....my car is faster blah blah blah, my v8 can walk your i4 blah blah blah, mustang this, civic, that....i love my lil hatch and how much potential it has and how far the resources for modding it has come:bigthumb: besides...i'm running stock 70hp and that still doesn't stop me from racing faster cars.....i'm all about the race and not stuck on looks and peoples attitudes towards my car and anyone elses car:thumbsup:

thank you! at least someone noticed that i wasn't intending on starting a flame war over there. sheesh, it was supposed to be just for the ford guys, then a couple imports show up talkin' crap.....................now look at it :comprage1 just wanted to let everyone know i wasn't smashing EVERY single importer out there. You know what rice is, and so do we. Not everyone who drives an import is a ricer lots of people believe that they are labled that for some reason just cause of their brand of car. I was just smashing RICE not EVERYONE. alright i tried to make that as clear as i could. back to the ford forum i go.

Very well put carrrnuttt. I am by no means biased to any car. Hell, I like the RSX and was actually contemplating buying one but instead went with something else. I truly cant say much about the new Civic Si :puke: , not my cup of tea. Besides, I believe that thread was intended to poke fun at certain people, like my friend for example who owns a 92 Civic sedan with altezzas, dual-tip fart pipe; hes going to change it though thank god, Honda in Kanji and with a big CIVIC in the front windshield, and an auto always shifting to neutral at a dead stop to let the car roll back. Not to mention I always poke fun at his hood which is black, he owns a red car, and calling it a CF hood, not to mention hes running on spares all around :tongue: Theres no need to start an inter-forum flame war since we are all, or supposedly are, Automotive Enthusiasts. I might just hang around here for a while; Ive been wanting to build an EG6 Civic just for kicks, and preferably hatch. :smile: I might just need a grocery getter and a car that gets 28mpg+ sooner or later:biggrin:

Oh and I just finish reading that locked thread of the 5.0 against the Civic... let it be known that a 5.0 and the non-PI 4.6(96-98) are slugs, unless modded ofcourse. Even some 93-98 Cobras cant really keep up with me, and im nothing but a lowly, stock GT, give or take a few bolt ons :wink: I should really stop typing these long posts...
