1971 Plymouth Duster "Heartbeat City"

Just finished this one after stalling on it for years.... It's AMT's 1971 Plymouth Duster in 'Sassy-Grass green'. I hunted for this one because it's the car on the cover of The Cars "Heartbeat City (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heartbeat_City)" album, one of my favourite albums of all time. The cover is a reproduction of Peter Phillips 'Art-O-Matic Loop-de-loop (http://www.peterphillips.com/news/art-o-matic-loop-di-loop-1972-the-cars-%E2%80%9Cheartbeat-city%E2%80%9D-album-cover-1984/)' painting, which itself appears to be taken from a Duster brochure (http://www.allpar.com/photos/vimages/plymouth/1971/Duster.jpg) from the time.
The macro lens finds imperfections my eye can't see, but I'm pretty pleased with how this came out. My first real attempt at BMF, futuring the glass and clear coating over decals - some silvering on the bonnet though. The air-filter decal cracked pretty badly, so I used Microscale Decal Film to preserve the others.

Well done. The cracked engine decal would look good if the engine had some weathering ;)

Good idea! I did get enough black over-spray in there to make it look like the engine is spitting oil... Might have to revisit that.

I like the little imperfections. Makes it look like a daily driver!
