See the pics... Went to change the plugs and on the 3rd one it happened!!
It's on a 2005 Accord 3.0l VTEC with 78000 kms.
Any suggestions on how to get the coil shaft out would be appreciated.
I'm essentially just wrestling with it hoping it pops out!!
Thanks!!

As far as I can tell you need to pull/push the electrode inside the boot and then use the needle nose pliers to remove the rest.
Good luck and let us know what will happen.

Well... It's out!!! :iceslolan
Talk about a battle!!! Pulled off the intake and then the valve cover to get a better look at the sleeve... Had a neighbour come over who is a mechanic or that would've happened!! :smokin:
Used some heat and was able to break apart the coil and get a lot out. The metal was completely corroded/rusted to the sleeve all the way down to the plug. I folded over a lot of the metal away from the sides and then put a screw through it all. Filled it with "Moovit" penetration oil and left it over night.
Got a pair of vice grips on the screw and then pried it with a hammer and it pulled free... The rubber stayed attached to the plug but that only took a piece of hanger bent with a hook to get it out.
Hope this helps someone in the future!! But I also hope no one ever has this issue!!!
Here's a couple pictures...
