I found this long wire stuffed down behind the relay box on my van. Can anyone identify it and tell me what it is supposed to be connected to?
(It is labeled 54; Red or Ped)
I have owned this van for years and have never noticed anything not working but this connector is hot all the time - even when the key is off ?

Looks like under hood light that has its own mercury switch, when tilted, (hood lifted) light comes on

My van does not have a light under the hood so I guess GM used the same wiring harness for all models. I would have thought it would have a cap on the end since it has battery power going to it. Maybe it did at one time. I installed a cap on the end but since it has been like this for over 8 years I doubt that it really matters!

That looks like the abs sensor wire from the passenger wheel bearing.
