Audi R8 PPI Razor GTR Extreme

Hi Guys,

Finally I'm back with another buid!
It is the Razor GTR Extreme version which has some modification comparing with the "plain" version, built for Jon Olson.
The kit is the Revell Audi R8 with C1 Models PPI Razor Transkit. I definately wanted to do Jon Olson's car, as I really like the roof box on the top and also CF body. The transkit is really nice, only few bubbles and roughness had to be corrected, the fitment of the resin parts were ok, only few miror issues, but nothing serious. PEs are great, I had issues only with the rear wing stands, I had to modify the connection with the wing.
Covering the body with CF was a big challenge, I tought it would be much easier, 2 and 1/4 of CF sheets and a lot of decal softener and working hours but after all it turned out really nice. :iceslolan
The tires were changed for Aoshima's and the headlights are coming from the R8 Spyder kit.

Wow, awesome job! Very well done. In addition to the CF work, you did a great job detailing the two-toned red and black interior.

WOW Incredible work!!! Always wanted to build this version, sadly they sold out awhile back. Your build makes me want one again!

sportracer02, I used the Modeler's CF, it was really hard to aply but I had 3 sheets of it and the pattern is nice, this is why I chose. I prefer KA or HD carbons they are much more user friendly! :)

I know its been awhile since anyone has posted to the thread but, man wow. Awesome job. I came looking to see if anyone had built one cause C1 Models just put these back up for a limited run https://www.facebook.com/C1Models/. I wanted to see one complete and man, this thing is gorgeous you did it more than justice. I ordered mine already and hope I can get half way close to the level as yours. Fine job. If anyone is interested you might still be able to order one before the limited re-run is over http://www.c1-models.com/. It says its out of production on the individual page for each car, but it was like that when I ordered mine, it doesnt say SOLD OUT on the resin kit list page so you may still be able to order one if you're still looking.
