Previews are weak, but I'm going anyway.

Tonight at 8PM... anyone else?

I'm gonna wait awhile, 'cause I'm not that excited for the movie, and I know there's gonna be a grip of people going. I'll just stay home and watch Back to the Future instead.

I'll be going to see it, but probably not this week. I've like the other two so if its nearly as good, I'll be happy.

I dont think I'll see it in theatres, simply because I dont usually go to the movies that dont look worth my time, and Im sorry, when I saw the trailer where he said " She'll be back" that pretty much made it not worth my time. I do however look forward to LOTR: Return of the King, and Matrix Revolution.

I just watched T2 for about the 100th time this weekend, and was really not anticipating T3 after watching the trailers. But because of this thread, I'm willing to give it a chance and go catch it tonight.

I didnt think The Hulk was that bad of a movie. The only thing I didnt like about it was the fact that it took soooo damn long to get everything explained.

I was looking forward to some vicarious pleasure from seeing the world destroyed 100X over, a-hole by a-hole, strip mall by strip mall. Sadly, they didn’t go into that much detail. What a shame… I've been wanting to see all the mutilation we've done to God's creation just wiped out!!! But other than that, I liked the movie. It was two hours long but felt like 5 minutes!

WHOA yup it was a good movie. I walked in with ZERO expectations and came out with a "THEY ENDED THAT BETTER THEN Matrix Reloaded!!" well ended i mean i WANT them to make a part 4 now!! But Arnold would be kinda useless. It was a very entertaning movie i loved how everything is so fragile and break when touched by the terminators.

I don't want to go see it. The series ended with 2. Cameron isn't behind it and it has only one of the two main characters. Neutrino is going to end up forcing me to go see it and forever taint how I feel about the Terminator series. I haven't heard the best about it from people that have seen it.

Now that I've seen it, it was ok. But it wasn't $8.50 ok. Very few movies are...

Neutrino and I went to see it on Saturday and it was alright, not as bad as I had thought, but here are my thoughts that I posted at another board. Also here is a link to all the horrible technical and plot discrepancies throughout the movie.

Ah, you beat me to it, but I have one for you to add.

Remember how the T-101 uses his two Hydrogen fuel cells, one becomes unstable and explodes the other he uses to destroy TX. Well there is a problem here. That is impossible. Hydrogen when paired with oxygen is no more volatile than gasoline which is why they are developing it to replace fossil fuels. For the hydrogen cell to explode like that it would have to be a fusion reactor. Only under fusion can hydrogen release that much energy. There is no way to fit a fusion reactor into something that small. Hell we don't even have one yet that can stay on for more than a second. You remember that thing called a particle accelerator they were walking trough that is PART of what a fusion reactor would be. Also when TX sawed through it, can we say nuclear explosion?

Sorry, but I agree fully with Gary on this. The series ended with T2. They were too shady on explaining why the sequel could be possible. I think the reason they killed Sarah Conner was because Linda Hamilton didn't want to be in the movie. All the other things that Gary noted I noticed as well and agree with him fully, and I felt it wasn't a very well done movie and does the other two GREAT movies no justice. T3 won't be sitting next to the other two in my collection.

I agree that many questions were raised & others unanswered by T3... but it was still a good movie - much better than 2F2F, Matrix Reloaded or AOTC.

I watched T2 again this weekend (after seeing T3), and T2 is superior. It will always be superior to just about any movie out there! It was a work of art, and hardly looks dated. Crisp sound, cinematography, acting, etc... But even still, T3 was better than the other nights I had that week, and this week - so I give it a :bigthumb: for entertainment value!!!

I haven't been to the movies for years (don't ask why). I'm not really in a rush to see new movies and only see them if Mum rents them out of they come on TV.

But i'm a big Arnie and Terminator fan so i hope this movie turns out better than i'm expecting it to. :/

Indeed, this movie did own.

It wasn't as good as the second, but what did you expect? There were two different directors between the second and the third. *shrug*

Good movie all around, but even I did find myself asking question about the inconsistencies.......such as the second fuel cell exploding.....they were JUST AROUND THE CORNER?!!??!?!?!!?!??!

Ah well, go see it anyways.

I agree with those who spoke highly of the film. I saw it last Friday (I have been meaning to post in this thread!), and I was very pleasantly surprised. Some great scenes, lots of action, and even though James Cameron wasn't involved, the movie is definitely a winner. They did a great job with the evoloving storyline, and managed to end it very well. I would like to see it again to see how much I like it the second time around. For the record, I still like the simple man versus machine odds and suspenseful direction of the first movie the best of the series, though all three movies are excellent.

*SPOILER*

I heard an interview with Arnold on Howard Stern a couple weeks back, and I would like to comment that he did a good job of getting himself back into his old bulked up shape for the movie, though he definitely was not as big as he was in either T1 or T2. Arnold can still pull it off. Additionally, it is also impressive that the scene where Arnold gets put through a building on a crane was almost cut, due to budget constraints, but Arnold insisted that the scene not be cut from the film. He cut a check for $1.4 million from his bank account and handed it over to the production team to get the scene filmed and keep it in the movie. That's a very classy thing to do, IMO (as is the fact that he is one of the few megacelebrities that will actually go on the air with Howard Stern). Way to be, Arnold http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon14.gif

And what about the new Tomb Raider??

I myself never got into the Terminator movies, and have never seen one yet, although if what some of you say is true, I might have to go see if Wal Mart has it in the 10 bucks box or w/e and watch it. Then go to the theater to see T3

OH!!

Anybody else catch this? There is a scene with a Lexus SC 430 convertible, which of course features Toyota's 4.3 liter V8. Anybody else suspect that for whatever reason they used a four cylinder engine sound for the car instead of a V8 sound?

I like it a lot. Im a huge T1 and T2 fan.

Some things i didn't like though: The musical score. I remember T2 being packed with that music that just got you excited, like whenever the T-1000 started running or catching up, it had a cool sound track. Or whenever he was sneaking around, it had the underlying death-like tone to it. I think that's a major part that was lacking of T3. The TX wasnt really as scary to me as the T1000 was. Maybe it's becasue she's a wicked hot babe who's boobies i sorta saw. Maybe its becasue i was 8 when i first saw T2. But the Tx just didnt have that cold cold presence around her like the T-1000.

All in all though, I liked it. It explained how T2 could have happened in the first place (paradoxes and all) and a lot of the things that had been bugging me for the past 12 years.

"If you don't like pepperoni, Ah dont cahr! MY peeza only comes with pepperoni, und 9mm boolets. Sometime in ze gun, sometimes on ze pizza."

Agreed - T3 isn't the work of art that T2 is (I think movies in general have dumbed down in the past 10 years), but it was an awesome 2 hours that went by in what seemed to be 5 minutes.
