Power steering a bit tight? Consider this...

Hee's a bit of power steering information I'd like to pass on. I have a 95 Camry with 139k miles on it. For the past few months it has developed a problem with the power steering - I'd turn the wheel 90° left or right and it would feel tight, then 90° further and it would feel normal. Sometimes on a really warm day the steering would feel and act normal. I too it into my local garage for an unrelated problem and the mechanic noticed the problem, and all he had to do was simply lubricate the universal joint on the steering column. Problem solved, and the car steers normally now. Something for everyone to consider should the same problem arise with your Camry.

Thanks for posting.
To maintain the system some people also recommend replacing power steering fluid but that is, of course, does not relate to the power steering binding.
