Stupid grand prix question

This is probably a stupid question but here we go ...
Were the grand prix's discontinued for a few years there or was it just me?
I never got why Pontiac might do that because I remember being in a friends grand prix years ago (I was like 12 or something) and it was the coolest car I had ever been in. I still like em in fact.
But anyway, just wondering, thanks for any help.

They Discontinued the 2 doors.
