I know this has been debated before but I still don't see the comparison. A Viper GTS out preforms any year Z06. I watch stock vipers gts's run 11's and see Z06's with minor mods running mid 12's. I know for the price its one of the best deals but I really dont think it should be compared to the gts. A Rt-10 would be more resonible. I would like to hear your opinions and experiences with this topic.

well in the hand of an casul driver the z06 might be better since the viper are notoriously hard to control.....but in the hands of a pro i say the GTS is the better car......
also the newer vipers are much better than the old ones.....in the last test (performed by Justin Bell in MT) the new srt-10 actually outperformed the current Z06......i can barelly wait to see what the new coupe will be like....also the C6 is coming out....interesting times...:bigthumb:
so bottom line i say the GTS is the better car...but the z06 is the better value(quite a bit cheaper)

GTS is better, but the Z06 is very capable, and not far behind.

The vette has been running a close second in most aspects to the viper since the viper hit the market. I don't see that changing any time soon. The C6 will once again close in the SRT but still not quite get there. The Z06 is a great car, but it didn't match the last generation GTS, so it certainly doesn't match to the newer one.

I'll post this again in here. It's what I heard at the Corvette 50th Anniv. It could just be them talking, but Dave Hill does not generally hype up the cars too much.
