rear lid motor noise ??

Hi Folks

my elderly cousin has a 2008 caliber.
for some reason the rear hatchback lid makes a weird noise when first trying to unlock it.
a certain cahin place told her she needs a new electric motor.
anyone having noises from the motor that unlocks the rear hatchback.
anyone else having problems?
