Tried to fix cruise control now dash lights don't work

Maybe this problem was caused by my attempted repair or the cruise control I don't know, I can't figure out what wrong with the dash lights not working, maybe it just a coincidence, I didn't notice they didn't work until after.
The cruise control hasn't work on my truck in years, I noticed the vacuum line to the cruise control vacuum solenoid was broken at the solenoid so I took out the battery and battery tray to get at and repair the vacuum hose, put everything back together and took it for a test drive, cruise control still does not work and notice the idiot lights for the brakes and ABS were on. That night I also found out the dash lights don't work except for the two idiot lights and the clock on the radio, the light switch turns on the light but has no effect on the dash lights when turned. The owners manual says the horn and instrument cluster are on the same fuse, the horn woks fine. Anyone have any ideas what going on?

Dash lights are usually on the same fuse as the taillights/parking lights.
