January: C1 Models Pandora One, RWB Porsche 964

As a part of my stash reducing, WIP completing plan for 2016, I finished a model I started a while back. I had started two Rauh-Welt 964s, one as the famous Pandora One in it's original green paint, and a second as a phantom that I would commission for myself, mixing some RWB and Bisimoto design elements with my own ideas. That kit will be have engine detail and is a ways off, but I did finish Pandora One this weekend, and I am calling it my January completion.

I really had higher hopes for myself on this one, the C1 models kit is quite nice, with a well cast and good looking resin body, great resin parts, and a really nice photoetch set. The decals are printed really nicely, and in all the transkit is very nice and works perfectly with the Tamiya donor. Every issue with fit and finish on this kit is my own. I feel like I am getting less good at building models as I get older (haha, 34!) but I still enjoy it. Maybe I am just rusty. I don't know. Anyway, here it is.

The color isn't anything special, but the image above and the image below I thought were interesting, because of how different the green looks with my polarizing filter turned differently. Weird.

Built essentially "box stock," from the transkit and the Tamiya kit. There are several errors and mistakes, but I at least learned from them for my second version of this kit. Paint is TS-35 park green under some Gunze semi-gloss clear. Exhaust tips are metal parts intended for an R35 GTR. The C1 models engine is the only part that I wasn't thrilled with, and I really like the look of the car all closed up so I glued the hood shut. I could have done better, but I really like it and it looks great on my shelf.

Thanks for looking!

Great job Will! 34 huh, man I hope it's not all down hill for me as I'm knocking on 37 this year 😁
The colour change you see from turning your polarizer filter is the result of it cutting out different spectrums of light. One of the downsides of a CPL. Oh yeah, I'm a photography nut too 😂 too many hobbies lol. I've cut down to these two as my main interests as I was bogging myself down 🤔
