I have a 2000 SLT 5.2L 8Cyl, it has the 12-bolt hexagonal cover rear end 9.25 ring, It went out and I am replacing it, I was wondering if it would work to replace it with a 10-bolt round cover 8.25 ring? I am replacing the whole thing, housing and all, so I was thinking it should be fine as long as the leaf spring brackets and everything are still in the appropriate spots. Anyone know for sure?
