cigarette lighter transplant?

hey i have the cigarette lighter from a 88 4ghb and i now have a 90 hb w/out lighter i droped in the panel but when i went to hook it up there was a 4 prong plug and my 88 lighter has a 2 prong i was thinking of ghetto rigging it but wanted to know if that causes any problems, anyone tried it?

i think the other two prongs are for a light in the ashtray, it is in mine, just cut the wires and do it like that, it wont hurt

the other two wires are for the lighted ring around the cig lighter. i just wired the two lighter wires in mine, and left the two for the light ring alone. it worked fine. now that ive got another hatch and a GSR console, i can use the lighted ring!!
