05 Town & Country missfire

For months now I've had a misfire in cylinder #2. Dealer changed out coil pack first trip.
Second trip same problem, Dealer replaced spark plugs and cables. Same thing, misfire on cyl #2. I had better add, the misfire is random.

The last couple days were cold here--no misfire. Today temp was around 46 degrees and
misfire back. This seems to be the norm. Cold days no misfire, warm days misfire.

Where cyl 2 and 5 are on the same coil I reversed the spark plug wires. Cyl 5 spark to
cyl 2 and cyl 2 spark to cyl 5. Still indicated misfire on cyl 2.

Replaced cyl 2 spark plug and wire still misfire on 2.

Anyone on the forum willing to help me save what little gray hair I have left?

Question: On a autozone, advanced auto, etc. code readers. Will they display 2 cyl's
misfiring or only the first cyl to misfire.

Check the compression on both 2 and 5 cylinders if good. Use a noid light and check for power to the injector you need both spark and fuel. If this is good get a Lisle inductive spark tester you can have a bad coil. This lays on plug wire and you can watch it flash. Use an ohm meter and check plug wire. Use a stethoscope and listen to injector you can hear them if working also ohm injector ohms should be close to working injector. I've used a long screwdriver from the injector to my ear.

OK, follow up. The coil the dealer installed???? was the culprit. Replaced with new and
problem resolved. Going to try to get the dealer to refund the price of the coil.

If they refuse ask for a new replacement you may need another one in the future. I'm glad you found the problem.
