practical car

am looking for a practical car (sedan) , that can last me 5 years without any major trouble i.e. engine or transmission failure
am planning to spend 27-35k $ on it but everything i seen starting from ford taurus , toyota camry and many others have severe engine and transmission problem
like that taurus connector between the radiator and the the transmission gear can break and mix oil with radiator fluid
so what are you suggestion and please elaborate your suggestion from experience.
am looking for a new car i should say.

i usually use my car to drive 10miles to work and 10miles back every workday and thats probably it.

For the price you're willing to pay and the lack of miles you are going to put on it almost anything will serve you well as long as you keep up with the general maintenance.
If you want years of trouble free service on a budget, consider a Kia. My wife is HARD on vehicles and I buy her Kia's because they hold up to her abuse quite well

toyota Camry 3yrs warranty
kia cadenza 5yrs warranty
mazda mazda 6 3yrs warranty
Honda accord 5yrs warranty
Hyundai sonata 5yrs warranty
Ford taurus 5yrs warranty

which one to avoid and which one an option in your opinion?

I'd go with the Mazda 6. Not only are they practical and reliable, but they're just fun to drive.
The Honda accord is and always has been a good option, but it seems to me like they've just become a bit dull over the years... and for that matter so has the Toyota Camry.

I would avoid the Subaru & the Hyundai personally.

The Hyundai will run forever but all of the accessories will break

And if ANYthing goes wrong with the Subaru its a pain in the butt and a fist full of hundreds to fix.

I too would suggest you to go for Mazda 6. I have the same and it gives me fantastic driving experience.
