1992 Geo Prizm cold starting problem!!!!!

HELP!!!; I have a 1992 Geo Prizm and when then weather gets cold it don't want to crank of a morning. It turns over fine but it acts like it's out of gas. When it finally starts it will start right up the rest of the day with no problem. It's just the first start of a cold morning.

Problem 2: Also when it's cold of a morning the gear shifter button won't push in for you to take it out of Park to put it in a gear. And this too only happens for the first initial start of a cold morning. Anyone please give some advice. Thanks in advance
