Huge searchable specifications database

I haven't been on here in quite some time but I wanted to share one of my latest projects with the community. I never really set out to build this thing but while working on another project (applications development) I started to see a real use for this information.

Essentially it is a searchable database with roughly 80k vehicles (and growing) and their general specifications. It gives you the ability to look up which vehicles from the 40s until now came factory equipped with specific features. For example, if you wanted to look up which vehicles Mitsubishi manufactured from 1988 - 2015 that came factory equipped with a turbocharger and 2.0 litre engine, you could do so.

The application is free to use and does not require any type of registration. It is called Car Spec Search (http://carspecsearch.com) (easy to remember right? :)).

Let me know what you think!

No Lotus?
Colin Chapman is spinning in his grave.

Lotus happens to be one of the makes we have yet to locate a reliable dataset for. I would check back periodically as we will be updating the database from time to time.

Also if anyone sees any makes that we have missed that they would like to have added, just let me know.

More of an index page.
No real info on it.
However it would serve you well when going to the local parts store and prepare you for the inane questions from the high school kid behind the counter.
Now you know why I shop for parts for my Lotus's on the internet, and over the phone.
