lower control arm replacement help!

After finding out that they don't sell just the ball joint and that the whole lower control arm must be replaced, my dad and I have decided to make this DIY project. He knows cars pretty well, however I was wondering if anyone was able to help make this process a little easier at understanding. It seems pretty straight forward, just looking for a little more clarification. Oh and its a 2005 dodge stratus, most other articles have said the 01-05 are generally the same set up. Thanks for the help!
