Frozen A/C

Whenever I run my A/C on cold, after a few minutes, the air stops blowing completely. I can hear the A/C unit running, but no air comes out. When I check under the hood I see thick ice built up all the way along the Low pipe. I've taken my car into Honda three times and they haven't been able to fix it. What is causing the system to freeze and how can I get it fixed?

Has your mechanic extracted the refrigerant and weighed it- compared weight to factory spec to determine if it is low? Either that or a bad temperature (freeze protection) switch. My money is on the switch or temp sensor..

Is your compressor cycling as it should ?
Some compressor relays will stick closed.
There is an improved part available.
