Obtaining Title for 1982 Suzuki Shuttle

Recently found an old Suzuki Shuttle in my parent's garage when helping them clean out for a move. The thing is in great condition and one of my friends is willing to get it running for me, but there's one issue...

We don't have and never did have the title to the thing. it was given to us by a family friend who also didn't have the title. All I've got is a 1985 plate and tag. How exactly would someone go about obtaining the title for a vehicle such as this?

Also, I was wondering if I would have to get it ensured or anything since its top speed is only around 35 MPH.
