Probably not something that all will like but it pertains to the topic of being a 'vehicle' that hovers. :licka: Like it or not, I'll give it a try by posting it here. There maybe some that like this kind of modeling.

Here is a 'What-if' model I have been working on for a while. Still not completely done but wanted to basically test out a homebuilt light box I built. So here are some shots of how it turned out after several editing in Infranview photo editor. Still not perfect but better than anything I have done.

Again, the inspiration for this model was put into reality after seeing Igor Sobolevsky wonderful 3D art station work called 'Axiom Racing'. His 3d version is to 'die for'. Still need some touch ups in some areas and needs a stand, on a wooden base, when done. I am also figuring out how to make a canopy to cover the cockpit, as it does need one. And I will be adding a wing on the back. just have to figure out the design.

Hope you all like this build.

I removed the steering wheel and scratch built dual joysticks. Each pairs are optional left to the driver to decide how he wants to have controlunch of the craft. There is a display panel in front of him that has all the info needed to power the craft. Everything you need to power the craft is in the gyros of the dual joysticks. The panel is only there as info and guide. Buttons are also available on sides and panel but again, these are pretty set before the race and can be access during the race if the need arises. In most cases it is not necessary.

Is it more reliable than the current McLaren Honda? Because Button and Alonso need all the help they can get this year... :-O

Very cool build. looks great.

Reminds me a lot of these Star Wars Pod Racers.
I love it!
However I would change the intakes of the "rear engines", the parts should look a bit more like an actual jet intake and not like a plain wheel.
But great work after all!

Thanks guys. I had planned to use one but could not find the appropriate ones to fit the design i wanted. So a more slick less aggressive look was the way I went.

Thanks for that. I added a little more details:

1. Rear motor resistent protective deflectors

2. Side burners resistent protective deflectors

3. Back burner resistent protective deflector

There will be no back-mounted wing. Changed my mind. I think it looks good without one. Still looking for a way to add a canopy to the cockpit. Until then the driver will be using his helmet.

Thanks for taking the time to look.I think I will just leave this as is and not add a canopy. The area behind the driver is pretty high and would look kinda awkward. Don't want to over-do it. i will just concentrate on placing it on a base mount with a figure and call it quits.
