I WANT 13.50s EVERY TIME

Can someone assist me with a question? I have a 99 GT with a short shifter, k&n, flows, 3:55s and a raggedy, leaky X-pipe (NEVER BUY FLOWTECH). Anyway, I have run a best of 13.87 with these few parts. I am barely breaking 100 MPH and sometimes not. I have just installed a set of 4:10s in place of the 3:55 cogs and an aluminum d/shaft. The new gears hardly allow the tires to stick in 1st and 2nd BUT the acceleration is wonderful. Is this combo good for an extra 4 tenths consistently? BFGs Drag radials will be on next week so take that into account. Any advice?

With drag radials there is no doubt you will see 13.5s or better.

werd. Practice launching by easing out of the clutch on street tires. Dumping it will only lead to bog outs or spinning the tires. With a set of drag radials, you should do low 13s.
A bullitt with just drag radials, ripped a 13.3 at 102 @ HRP in late 2001. I've seen him do consistent 13.5s. I've seen GTs pull low 13s on drags and sweet spots!

but what made you swap out the stock 3.27s for weak 3.55s? Are you happy with your 4.10s? i should be getting those soon. with the 4.10s and the DRs no doubt of 13.5s man, GL and HF!
