Slotted Rotors - which direction for slots?

I'm wondering does the direction of the slots on drilled and slotted rotors really matter? Should the slots on rotors go from top (at lugs) to bottom (at tire) when the brake caliper is on the rear of the rotor or vice versa?

Unless your rotors are marked for left and right, no, it does not matter.
