searching for code

new to the site. im old so please be patient. just trying to locate keeyless entry code on 2000 town car. alredy checked trunk hinge. have no scan tool. checked inside drivers door with no luck. thanks in advance...vince

The code wasn't on the DDM? Odd. The Drivers Door Module should have a code on it or so I have been told. If there is no code, the dealer must fetch it.

In the older cars, this code was also on the outside of the black box that controlled the keyless entry system.

It was located behind the panel that would be on the right of a front passengers right foot, in front of the front passenger door.
