Dual build; aoshima 350z and S15

I started these two from my stash as i was painting some other models, I like to paint a few at a time to make my time with the airbrush worth while.

kits are;
Aoshima top secret 350Z

Aoshima Virtex Ridge car make T&E wide body S15

both will be built with minimal mods, straight from the box but with a few changes/improvements here and there.... nothing major.

one small improvement to the S15 before painting, open the vented front guards that were molded in.

one other thing i wasnt happy with was the ride height of the 350z
did this mod to the rear, but havnt tackled the front as yet.
the rear of the 350z has a solid metal axle so all i did was use some styrene above and below the axle to locate it where o wanted it.
its only a minor change from where it was supposed to be.

it all comes molded in with this kit, no over fenders.

A base coat of white mr. color lacquer was applied to both, the 350Z is supposed to be pearl white and the S15 is supposed to be just plain white.


So the 350Z got a few coats of Mr color pearl white.

I also had some Mr color blue pearl so that had to go on the S15 :evillol:
I remember i liked the white/blue pearl paint jobs on a few jap 'show' cars ive seen in various magazines from around the early 2000's so it was quite fitting to paint this car this color.

it is extremely difficult to get a got shot to show off the pearl until it is cleared, but this gives you a bit of a idea
