Some vehicle information would be helpful.

Absolutely. How does this get forgotten so often?

First Guess: Vacuum related, or caused by misadjustment of the brake switch. Fixing the adjustment of the brake switch took longer than the rest of the booster replacement on my '92. The '93 brake switch was improved.

Either way, this seems to be the fault of the guy who installed the booster, so let him fix it. That's his responsibility.

OK...I believe the cruise control module is mounted on the left (drivers) side strut tower. That is in the area of the booster. I would check to be sure the module is plugged in, then verify that the cable from the module is ok between the module and the throttle body. If all that is ok, as stated by another poster, I would check the adjustment of the brake switch.
