05 Sedona seat adjuster

I have a 05 Sedona and the automatic adjuster switch on the driver side has stopped moving forwards and backwards and this isn't good since I'm 6'5 and my girlfriend is 5'5. The seat will move up and down and lean the head of the seat back and forth but not the entire seat foreward and backwards. I was thinking of taking the switch from the passenger side and switching the two. What else can I do? And no, there is nothing underneath the seat to keep it from moving.
