Problem with gearbox?

Guys I bought this car this year it's a 3 year old car, it's an automatic, and what basically happens when I accelerate or put the pedal accelarator down a bit more the revs go incredibly high and doesn't really pull the car forward so I always have to start slower, also when I'm in neutral the Rev is around 10 which I think is high when idling anyone have ideas?
