i tried to be a bit too adventureous with this chop, so i made loads of mistakes and had to work out some way of repairing them. anyway, the final product is nothing like i intended it to be , but its ok.
again, any advise would be very helpful

i like it. only problems i have (are not of your car) but the original picture.. the car just looks wrong.. too tall or something. i'll chop the original just to show you what i think would look better .. not compared to yours. but just.. for the car in general..

alright.. heres what the real car should look like if they wanna sell it :)
edit: oops heres what i did.. chopped the top, stretched it widthwise.. and simply shaved the handles and emblem. drop too. but the lower roof line and wider stance.. IMHO really makes the car look nice.

i dunno, it looks like the driver would have to be under 5foot tall to fit in it now

I think the chop came out good, there really isnt that much wrong with it, keep it up.

ROFL simdel1's sig says 'my name is simon'.. if i ran across a chick with that name then... yuh. and a bloke is an english term for.. guy or male or something right? i've been to UK 6 times :D i wanna go back.
anyways yah the driver WOULD have to be short... but what about mini's? those aren't the biggest of cars. and let's just say.. it has a very conveniently placed sunroof :)

the only thing i would do different is to
shave the antennae off the top
mold the bodykit to the car,
take off the side blinker,
take out the line off the license plate to the lights,
make some sort of darker area around the outside of the vent so it doesnt look so similar to the door portion (or just shade in the door indent a little.)
if you really want to get detailed, the skirts are a little off in terms of color (might just be my monitor)
other than that it looks good.

as a quick (took me 15 min.) example of what i mean...
after a couple of hours i decided that it didnt need a rear window defroster, and the licence plate was too boring. and out of boredome i also changed the dimentions to a fatter, shorter car while still being tall enough to have some headroom (in my opinion)

thanx:bigthumb:
...yes the colour of the skirt was probably a little off. im colour blind so you probably have no idea how difficult it is to try and match some colours.
ill try some of the suggestions iv got so far and post the hopefully finished example up later

color blind?? :bloated:
didn't catch the color at first and i was like.. 'blind' ???? that's a feat!
ah yah the only complaint i had was the mismatched sideskirt..although my monitor is FUBAR'd so i said nothing. do another car!
i ALWAYS have trouble adding rims.. it never looks right. so congratulations on that!
EDIT: also not too fussy about the color (colour?). bright neon cars don't do it for me. i would have kept it dull grey or something like that.

well i didnt just change the rims....i took the tire too, then used the brightness adjustment untill it matched the brightness (or darkness) of the original.
