1999 explorer xlt rear strut broke off hatch back

My strut broke off the rear hatchback (right side, top). Its not the strut itself it's the actual nipple the strut snaps onto. Is there a repair for this? Looking at where the nipple snapped off, it looks like it was welded onto the hatchback. Any ideas?
