My RSX Type S Customization

I recently bought a RSX Type S, well March 14th to be specific... So far I have just added a black front grill inserts, racing pedals, racing seat belts, and exhaust system that sounds great, and AEM CAI which still amazes me... anyway... i want YOUR opinion...

The first thing is that it is Redondo Red Pearl.... So last week my mom dropped a bike on my hood and this is when the ideas came to my mind... i think her dropping that bike on my hood was a God send...
so what i want to do is BLACK out my car
1. Carbon Fiber Hood
2. JDM Type R black housing head and rear lights
3. JDM Type R body kit (carbon fiber) - This is what i was wondering about would it look sweet or stupid to have a different color body kit even though things are going to match it
4. JDM Type R Spoiler (Carbon Fiber)
5. Some kind of charcoal, black or black chrome rims - that is another question that i had which ones to get?
6. Tint the windows of course

Well if you guys or girls could give me your opinion and maybe more ideas on what to do or what to stay away from it would be much appreciated !!!

oh please go with the black thing on your car... that would definately look sweet :)... i'd say everything you listed is practically perfect... CF hood & black housings are a must... on the full CF kit, i think that'd look outta place but thats up to you, personally i would go with a CF lip, or one painted the same color of the car... CF wing would look pretty damn nice, have yet to see a type r CF wing made yet... but look around and im pretty sure someones made one already... as for the rims, basically thats your choice... but if it was me i'd def. go with a rim that was gunmetal with a polished lip... but anything silver, black or gunmetal would be nice... i dont really know about black chrome, not really my thing but still would probably be nice... anyways ya, you got a nice set of goals laid out... good luck with the car! :)

i think you should just have a normal body kit
but the carbon fiber hood and wing would be sweet
i love black, got black leather interior too?

no, unfortunately i have titanium leather:frown: but hey if i get dark enough tints you won't be able to see that imperfection thanks for the opinions guys keep 'em coming

limo all around, well it need some contrast so i think it will be ok

1. Yes. Get it, as long as it is a high quality one. I saw a cheap-ass hood on an RSX. looked good from afar, but ugly as hell. No rolled edges, the weave was strectched, fitment was horrible.

For hoods that are well priced, get the ViS OEM, XTreme GT (the best out of these 3 and one of the best available) or invader style.

For expensive but high quality and good looking, FibreImages, Mugen, C-West and BuddyClub.



2. Yeah! Get the JDM housings. They look so good. Its a gloss black with bronze in it. JDM tails? They're the same.



3. C/F Lip kits look great. Get either JDM, OEM, or C-West (I think C-west is the best lip kit out there by far). *cough* C-WEST!

CF bumpers also look pretty good. There were C-West bumpers out there. Also, FiberImages has a full CF body car.



4. Yeah, either CF Type R wing, or a C-West Gt wing (Mugen, C-west or Rando).



5. I don't really think black rims, but gunmetal, hyperblack, steel grey, etc.

Rota Subzero's look really good and come in a lot of colors and w/ or w/o a polished lip.
Centerline RPM's in gunmetal (I think) look really nice.
5Zigen Rims are light and look nice also.

the CF hood is good. You can DIY black housings which will save u like 600 bucks. The carbon fiber body kit though will look bad, just get a regular kit and a type-r wing. Maybe the ings+1 kit(which is what i have)
and for rims maybe u can get chrome or gunmetal or maybe hyperblack. Please do not get limo all the way around, maybe a 20% would be nice, but please dont put limo all over, it will look horrible, i've seen it on my friends white rsx and it looks like he put duck tape all around his car.

yea your friend most of got a shitty job, then get limo on the read window and 35% on the door windows

just to see if i'm getting you here, you want to put a carbon fiber hood on a red frame? or is the car going to be all black? the thing is i have a black rsx and i was wondering if the carbon fiber hood would look dumb or not has anyone seen a black rsx with the oem carbon fiber hood?

cf hoods look good on any color, it gives that little bit of contrast that makes it flow, and a cf hood on a black rsx would look sick

did you find a place to buy a cf hood?
