93 octane limits

I'm thinking of getting higher compression pistons for my b16a. How high can I go running 93 octane?

probably around 11.5:1 just to be safe you can probably run 12:1 with an octane booster or extra fuel and retard the timing.

Any idea how much power 11.5:1 would produce in a b16a? What about in addition to that boring the cylinders out to 1.8 liters?

i don't know how much power it will get you. i got some ctr pistons and i'm going to match them up with some eagle rods and ACL bearings(same type used in f1 racing) with a mugen headgasket and the compression ratio was around 11.1:1 so i'll let you kow once i get it done.

im running the CTR pistons and eagle rods too, comp ratio in the b16a should be around 11.5:1

what kind of head gasket are you using if its a one layer then yes if it a 2 layer then it should be aroung 11.1:1.

A gasket is another part I was thinking of getting to raise compression but I haven't looked into it much. Are there only 1 or 2 layer options? Are the thin ones less reliable? Also what brands make the thin ones?
