p0446 help!

Hello all! need help with this p0446, but I think I have it cornered!
Anyone know if it is possible to blow a bit of air (low pressure) through the charcoal canister? from what I've read one of the causes of a p0446 could be a blocked charcoal canister. vent valve is going on today. 2001 malibu 3.1.
