Hi,
I just joined.
I have spent hours looking for an answer to this question and couldn't find the answer.
My question is:
Taking into consideration all old and new models of cars on the road, what is currently the most common fuse found in this type of outlet? 15A? 20A?
Does it depend on how old the car is? Are there other factors? If so can someone list them and the fuse rating corresponding to the factor.

There are going to be several factors. On one of my cars my power mirrors are on the same circuit. On my other car I believe its my power seat that is on the same circuit. You only want to use the size fuse that the factory called for. Using a larger fuse is asking for an electrical fire.

Hi, Thanks for the information, that is something I wasn't aware of. I am not trying to replace a fuse yet. So from a hypothetical point of view, within today's car population what is the most common(dominance) fuse for a cigarette/accessory outlet? 15A? 20A? 30A? Even distribution of both 15A and 20A fuses ? Thanks Regards, New Forum User
