Volkswagen (http://www.autoguide.com/new-cars/volkswagen/index.html) has released the Scirocco GTS, a sportier version of the small coupe that is sold in Europe and China. The GTS is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine that makes 217 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, sent through either a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG automatic. VW says it will make the run from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.
Style is added thanks to VW’s R-Line trim which comes with a unique front bumper, integrated fog lamps, side still extensions, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. 18-inch wheels comes standard while 19-inch Lugano wheels are optional. The look is completed by stripes, in either black or red, that are available and run the length of the car.
Inside, black and red are the primary colors, covering the headliner and seats, accented by gloss-black trim. Of course, the legendary golf-ball shifter is also present.

That looks fantastic, sounds great, and at the same time it kind of pisses me off. Here in America, we get some good cars from Volkswagen. The jetta has always been good, the passat is good, and the golf was named car of the year by motor trend for good reason. The golf GTI and golf R are especially good. The part I'm pissed about is the fact that they won't send us the scirocco, and now seeing a performance edition that looks even better than the golf GTI makes me even more annoyed!:runaround:
