I recently got my truck back from my mechanic and he told me that I had a bad bearing in my compressor clutch. He didn't have the ability/tools to fix it so I called another guy. He was unable to find just the clutch and thought the whole compressor might have to be replaced. Both him and myself looked online for parts and are having trouble finding compressors and clutches in stock.
Does anyone know if just the clutch can be replaced? And does anyone know why every website I look at lists prices for the clutches and compressors but doesn't have any in stock? I thought maybe they were having problems with the compressors/clutches but couldn't find any recall info...

Check with Ford to see if it is covered under warrantee. Unless you have a ton of miles, it should be. As for out of stock, give the part stores an actual call or visit. They may know something that isn't shown on the websites.

I plan on checking the warranty when I get home, but I have 70,000 miles so I am not hopeful.
