92 with 3.8 engine.
Yesterday it would start run for minute then die, would restart then die, then it would not start. I let it sit overnight and it started up just fine today, let it run for at least 10 minutes never died. I was alone so I did not check for spark after it died again
The car has been sitting all winter, when I drove it from in laws to our place last fall it died (about 5 miles). I thought the gas gauge was off and went got gas then it ran again.
Does this sound like a bad CKPS?????
Thanks

Without checking it out there is no way to tell, spark, fuel pressure must be checked when it dies.

Like Max says, you check for spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse when it won't start........also when it won't start, disconnect the MAF sensor and then see if it starts....that year vehicle could be a crank sensor, ICM, ECM, etc.

Today I let it warm up good, drove it a few miles. It did hesitate once while driving. Parked it, turned off and restarted and it died and would not start. ( When I turned it over it dragged like it was out of time)I removed 2 wires off the 1st coil pack closest to firewall, Helper cranked the engine and I did not see spark jumping across the coil. Hooked wires back up and tested a spark plug wire from
#1 to ground, spark was there but it was orange looking. Removed MAF sensor plug and it acted like it wanted to start but sounded like it was flooded.
I need to get a fuel pressure tester before I can test fuel pressure.
Edit: No check engine lite, does not work.

About 3 hours latter< Car started right off the bat.

If you have no check engine light, then you better check for codes......since the check engine light is not working(could be bad bulb/circuit/ECM), you can't do flash codes, so you need a code reader....

I removed the harmonic balancer and checked the CKS, it had a huge crack in the window, replaced it. Still would not start after normal operating conditions. Hooked up fuel pressure gauge and let it run until it died and showed 0 pressure. Installed new fuel pump and issue fixed.

Good job figuring it out yourself....
