got hit, no start now

1997 jetta 5 speed parked,locked, got hit. now won't start. cranks but no spark. any clues? some kind of cutoff due to hit?

Probably a cut off or something with factory passive alarm. I remember a Jetta my cousin had back in the day that one day just refused to start. Same type of issue. I think my uncle ended up taking it to a VW mechanic to get it sorted out because no one else could fix it.

Volkswagen says no switch on that model. if it cranks un related to anti theft. stumped several vw mechs so far.
