i truly cannot believe how dead it is here now!

Title says it all, unreal how no one is around anymore. I look at all these topics and they are 1,2,3 years old, unreal! What happen to everybody?

I am sort of back in the game. Not a true DSM anymore tho lol i picked up a 2006 eclipse GT 6 speed manual last month with 77k on it, i honestly love the car. Already put a Greddy cat back exhaust on it, injen CAI, hks lowering kit, Projection head lights, after market 18's and hopefully more to come.

Just dropping by to say hi to all the old folks that know me on here.

We're not all dead yet, just don't visit as often anymore. Once every few months maybe. People get older and priorities change in life I guess. I still talk to some of the old members on FB and via text. Technology has changed things a lot too.

I'm rocking the Corvette and a new Silverado now. Might get another toy one day here... Working towards my career/business and a house instead at the moment.

I've been really good actually. I got a random offer to buy my talon the day I came on. I told him it wasn't for sale.

I bought a house in the burbs and an Audi. Thinks are pretty good I guess only problem is my talon isn't passing emissions.

Part of me would like to track down my Talon and get it back but who knows where it is now. I know the engine at least lives on though in my one buddies ride. Maybe I'll buy another... Who knows...

I dont know why I decided to log in here. Says last log in 2011, whew. But anyways. Yea, not much going on here. I still have a 96 hardtop that ive been working on on and off for 5 years. Done all the bodywork/paint a few years back, all new suspension, enkei RP03s. Stock bottom end, full 3", vrsf fmic, PTE 5952. The only thing I need to do is throw in my DSMlink, FIC 1250s, 255 pump, crower 272s, bc springs, fidanza cam gears. I want to put an intake manifold on as well. Havent been in a rush with it.. Im not going to sell it so why rush. I daily a 08 civic sedan, and also have a 95 eg hatch that Im putting a k24z7 out of a 2012 SI in. Making a strictly drag car out of it. Will eventually turbo.

Been helping my brother build an LS powered 90 supra targa. Pretty well done with it, but working on bodywork/paint now. Also helping him with his truck. 08 GMC 5.3. Weve already turboed it, PTE 7474, 4" exhaust, FMIC, all that good stuff. Now working on cam install, DOD delete, built 4l80e swap, etc, etc.

It's not just dead here, it's dead all over the forum. Honestly, the main reason I still log in is just because of being a mod and trying to make sure spam is kept at bay.

I joined AF back in the day (04) and mainly posted in the 3000GT/Stealth forum. I posted a few times here when I bought my TSI. I definitely miss the TSI and regret selling it to this day. It was one of the cleanest examples of a 1G I've ever seen.

I still have my Stealth, but it's been parked for over 4 years now. I daily a supercharged 07 Grand Prix.

The poor Stealth is in the background. I think the Pontiac looks alright for having 177k on it.

I parked it after eating trans #5 (4 blown diffs and 1 broken 2nd gear.) I picked up the Grand Prix at that time. Money was an issue for awhile. I moved about 2 years ago and no longer have a garage.

Money is still sort of an issue, but I have all sorts of time now. Reason for both is because I am not working at the moment. I got laid off/let go at the beginning of the month.

There is a list of things I can do to help it along the way without spending too much, or maybe even no money, but I just have to get myself motivated.

Ahh, I get that... That sucks getting laid off man...

I learn the hard way... This thing needs a lot of work... Imagine a car with nothing from the windshield forward. lol... The good news is it has a fully built motor and trans and ran low 12s with the clutch slipping bad. Needs a new clutch and put back together and it should be a high 11 car on pump gas. Pictures will come soon... Perhaps I need to start a new Project Thread V2. lol...

I've been looking around for a DSM myself. I'm at the point where I am tempted to find a decent shell, and just pay my buddy to build it for me. I spent A LOT of my time going through my 3000gt. I don't know if I want to invest that kind of time in another car, especially since I still don't have a garage.

Brooo It's hard af trying to find a decent eclipse thats not expensive. I see a gs-t or gsx pricing and they are wanting 5-7k for them. Im hoping to find me another 95-96 model style like my old one but then again if i can find a gsx shell then a K20 motor would sit nice in it.

No more DSMs for me... For now...

Quoting myself here, because I must be a glutton for punishment. I thought about it some more, and talked to my buddy about one of the cars. I'm going to go tomorrow and give him some hold money on a 1GB Talon. He gave me a price for the car with a built engine. He said he'd probably be able to do even better for me.

My thought process is to make it a drag week style car. Something that is "streetable" but more geared toward the race track. Something I can drive the 5 miles to work if I get the itch and it won't feel like I am going to die the entire trip.

The build won't be quick, as I am still throwing money at my 3000GT, but it will be fun. I've wanted another since I sold my TSI back in 08 or whenever it was.

Just found a GSX that was forsale but the asking prince was 10k @_@
