Nissan Altima, No shift into D3

1999 Altima, 4 cyl...
Hose came off trans cooler, daughter drove approx 1 mile before pulling over.
Reattached hose, refilled fluid. Initially on restart had no reverse or D2. After trans was full and during test drive found there is no shift from D2 to D3. All other gears are solid and responsive, no noticable slipping in any gear, just no shifting into D3.
Possible air trapped in valve body or is it fried clutch packs?
